Pink Lady Slipper Orchids

While letting the dogs swim at Osgood Pond, we noticed a large patch of about 15 lady slipper orchids in full bloom. I've seen these flowers singly many times, but never such a large patch. It was beautiful!

All orchids in New York are protected - so enjoy flowers like these with your eyes and camera but please don't pick! (http://www.dec.ny.gov/pubs/65642.html)
