North Country explorer from
I went for a run down the Avenue of Elms on St. Lawrence University's campus and around quarter to 5 I had to stop to admire the setting sun light on the tops of the surrounding trees. One of my favorite things about the North Country is how distinct the light is during this time of the year, especially seen in the picture. Only the very tops of the trees are illuminated! I'm not sure if I have ever seen it quite like this anywhere else. It was a nice surprise and it inspired me to still get outside even if it is getting dark so early these days... Has anyone else noticed this particular lighting?
