The summit of St. Regis was frozen, but the climb up was not not bad. Used microspikes but no snowshoes.

Looks cold up there. Are you going for the winter Saranac 6er?

No Jacob, I am not interested in being a 6er, or a 46er. I just explore. It's all about the adventure. So I roam the High Peaks, and all the peaks and rivers and marshes and bogs in between. Life is too "driven" by arbitrary numbers as it is.

I hear you. I'm definitely guilty of having a peakbagger attitude and missing out on the more subtle beauty of the 'dacks at times. It just looked like you've been climbing a lot of the peaks that happen to be Saranac 6ers lately. Thanks for sharing your pics!
