For lab we went to the Wild Center in Tupper Lake. I wasn't sure what to expect, when I arrived I was blown away. The place was amazing. First we were learning about "Planet Adirondack", after that they brought out an owl and a porcupine. I was very shocked we were able to take photographs with flash of the owl. I am very happy we were able to, I got a few neat photographs of Olivia the owl. We had plenty of free time to walk around and explore the Wild Center. It was such an incredible place. There is stuffed moose in one of the rooms which was really exciting; moose are one of my favorite animals. Our class met up in the cafe after we were finished exploring to go snowshoeing. The Wild Center provides snow shoes for their guests. We went snowshoeing through the woods, man was it beautiful. I would love to go back to the Wild Center one day, I'm thinking of going sometimes in the Spring. I recommend everyone in the North Country to visit the Wild Center at least once.

Habitat: Tupper Lake Wild Center. Inside of the room with the Adirondack Planet.

What I found interesting: I couldn't believe how close I was to an owl! Such a neat bird. I like this photograph I took very much, it portrays the looks of the owl very well.
