Landscape Photo of the Trees, Looking Up

This is a landscape photo taken on our lab at Stone Valley. What is most interesting about this photo is that it is not your typical landscape" photo. The roof layer of the forest was covered by the overhanging branches of trees, and on this particular day the immense snowfall that was coming down provided me with such a scenic view from the ground looking up that I just had to take a photo. This habitat is a hardwood forest filled with dense trees, located just alongside the Raquette River. While it is uncertain which species of trees are in this photo, it is likely that they are some type of pine (either white or red), spruce, or dogwood. How do we know? The needle patterns at the tips of the branches would indicate the likeliness of that hypothesis.
