"Art Out in Nature"

Event date and time
July 7, 2013 - 2:00 PM

En Plein Air sketching and painting. 2 pm, Sunday, July 7, at Grasse River Heritage Park in Canton.

Come join Adirondack Mountain School painter David Crowell for an afternoon of art out in nature. Practice sketching or painting from life on location. The Grasse River Heritage Park on Coakley's and Falls Islands offers many interesting subjects for art. Bring a sketchbook and pencil or pen, or bring your painting gear. Bug spray is recommended as we will be sitting in one spot for sketching.

The Plein Air tradition of painting dates to the French Impressionists who took to he fields to capture light in nature instead of painting in studio.
