Build Your Own Bird Feeder

Event date and time
December 7, 2014 - 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM

Come join Nature Up North at the Wachtmeister Field Station for an afternoon of building your own bird feeder. You will have the option to make a simple feeder using a pine cone, peanut butter, and seed (great for kids) or a bigger feeder using a recycled plastic bottle (great for the kids at heart). Anything you build can be taken home with you!

In addition to building feeders you will also learn basics about some of the native winter birds in the North Country and there will be a nature walk around the trails of Wachtmeister to look for some of these beautiful winter birds. This is a great event for families and will take place rain or shine. Be sure to bring some warm clothes and good footwear for the nature walk.

*Please be advised we will be using peanut butter if you have a severe peanut allergy*

Please RSVP to ebwell13@stlawu.edu if you plan on attending.
