Pirate Treasure Hunt Hike

Event date and time
September 20, 2014 - 1:00 PM

Long ago, Pirates from the Caribbean found themselves lost up the Raquette River and left behind their gold. Learn the legend and look for their treasure on this 3 mile kid-friendly walk on the Red Sandstone trail. Along the way we’ll learn about frogs, beavers, hydropower, the history of the region and much, much, more.

We will have hotdogs and marshmallows (provided) at the midpoint of the three mile hike. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and possibly rough trail at times (No flip flops or other flimsy shoes - wear good runners or hikers). Be sure to bring water, three miles is a long ways when you're a young child.

This hike is LIMITED TO 24 participants. Contact Blair Madore at madorebf@potsdam.edu or 315-265-0602 to reserve your spot.
