This free event will be held from 1:30-5pm, and feature fun-filled activities for the whole family, including a presentation on loon natural history and conservation, a loon-related art show; a loon calling demonstration by our own field staff, Ellie George; the “Life of a Loon” quilt raffle (each block in this queen-sized quilt is handmade by a regional Adirondack quilter); a hilarious performance from the very entertaining Ventriloquist Sylvia Fletcher and her saucy puppets; music by the Rustic Riders; a silent auction; and a delicious reception. Additionally, a field trip to one of our study lakes will be offered from 9a.m.-12:30pm. Please note: registration is required for the field trip-- see our website for details (www.briloon.org/adkloon).
