Community Tree ID Walk

Event date and time
October 5, 2024 - 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Come join Nature Up North on a tree identification walk!

During this walk in Canton, we will learn to identify some common trees in the North Country and their ecological and cultural significance. We will make leaf and bark imprints so that you can take this knowledge with you wherever you go out exploring! The walk will start at the loop at Johnson Hall of Science, St. Lawrence University. Parking can be found on the corner of Park St. and St. Lawrence University (J-Lot). Click here for a pin. Together we will walk down Park St. to Canton Park Village (.6 miles). Once we arrive at the Village Park, we will show you how to monitor tree health, through maple trees, and collect data for the Monitor My Maple project. We hope to see you there!
