Lunar eclipse viewing on SLU campus

Event date and time
September 27, 2015 - 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Come see the lunar eclipse this Sunday, September 27th, on the SLU campus. Jeff Miller and Aileen O'Donoghue from the St. Lawrence University Physics Department will have a couple of telescopes and binoculars set up in the practice field east of J Lot for viewing of the moon. They will set up by 9 pm and stay until totality, packing up by around 10:30 pm. There will be intramural games going on until nearly nine, but they’ll wrap up (and turn off the lights) by the time the eclipse begins. The weather is predicted to be clear on Sunday so come join us for some moon gazing. It will be in the 50’s so don’t forget to bring a jacket!! It can get surprisingly cold standing around telescopes.
