Sunday Nature Walk: Sugar Maples at Indian Creek

Event date and time
September 29, 2019 - 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

In the face of climate change, there is recent concern about how a warming and increasingly unpredictable climate will affect both sugar maple health and maple syrup production. Join us for a walk to discuss this potential threat to sugar maples, and learn to identify a variety of maples present on the trails. You'll also hear about ongoing research at St. Lawrence University, led by Nature Up North, monitoring the impact of changing temperatures on sugar maples here in the North Country.
