Writing to Reconnect
Join us along the Raquette River where we’ll be examining natural elements for the articulate expression of our shared environment and ourselves. Today, the way we often say that it's “too easy” to lose track of time on our phones for hours is similar to how we used to talk about the woods. Let’s reimmerse, reunite and reconnect with our natural surroundings by allowing them to inspire and transport our minds to the page; whether that be presently, through past memories, or in future hopes.
There will be a guided worksheet and method to go about this program but feel free to do what feels most comfortable for you with your writing (you don’t have to strictly follow along)! This is for you to have and to hold for yourself and to strengthen your personal connection to our shared environment, which for Saturday, July 22, will be at Stone Valley in Colton, NY.
Please bring a book or something to write on and you may also want bug spray. Paper and pens will be provided but, if you so desire, feel free to bring your own journal or favorite pen if you’ve got one!
