Nature Up North and the St. Lawrence Sustainability Program invite you to an afternoon of back-to-back naturalist walks presented by naturalists and professors at St. Lawrence, Clarkson, and Cornell Cooperative Extension. Walks will range from 45 minutes to 1 hour and will focus on a range of topics, including mushroom identification, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and wild edible plants. This event is free and open to the public, and all ages are welcome. The afternoon will also include the opportunity to tour the Sustainability Farm and to learn more about Nature Up North.
Naturalist Walk Schedule
2:00 - 2:45 Edible Wild Plants
3:00 - 3:45 Finding Fungi
4:00 - 4:45 Reptiles & Amphibians
5:00 - 5:45 Bird Walk, binoculars provided*
*limited binoculars available, please rsvp to reserve a pair.
Location Details
All naturalist walks will take place at the St. Lawrence Sustainability Program Site, State Hwy 68. From Canton, follow State Hwy 68 east for approximately 4 miles. The site will be on your left, after Cornell Cooperative Extension.
Water will available on site - please bring your own water bottles and snacks.

Free Transportation
Transportation will be provided from the Brewer Bookstore at St. Lawrence University.
Pick-up times: 1:50 pm & 3:50 pm
Rides back to campus: 3:40 pm and 6:00 pm
