First day hikes - State office of parks

WELLESLEY ISLAND — The state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is inviting local residents to celebrate New Year’s Day with hiking events at select local parks.
The hikes are part of the sixth annual First Day Hikes program taking place throughout the nation.
The local hikes include events at Robert G. Wehle State Park, Henderson, at 11 a.m. and Wellesley Island State Park at 1 p.m., Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site, Sackets Harbor, at 11 a.m. and Fort Ontario State Historic Site, Oswego at 10 a.m
