ADK Outdoors-Indoors Presentation with Nature Up North
What is Nature Up North? As part of the ADK Laurentian Chapter Outdoors-Indoors lecture series, join Nature Up North Project Director Dr. Erika Barthelmess and Project Manager Jacob Malcomb to learn about ways we work to engage North Country communities with the local environment through guided outings, citizen science projects, and our interactive website. We hope you'll join us to learn more about what we do and ways you can get involved. Refreshments will be served.
ADK Laurentian Chapter--Bicycle the Sabattis Loop
The ride will start from one of the scenic overlooks of Tupper Lake, and will follow Circle Road past the Sabbatis Bog and out to Little Tupper Lake. We’ll complete the loop for a trip of about 20 miles, with plenty of options for exploring as the mood strikes. Plan on a full, relaxed day. Level 3, Moderate.

ADK Laurentian Chapter--Algonquin Peak Hike
Climb the second highest peak in NY (5,114 ft), a little over 7 mi round trip and 3,000 foot elevation gain. The view of other high peaks is worth the effort. Bring layers/windbreaker, as it can be windy and quite cool on the summit. Also plenty of water and food. Level 5, Very Strenuous, but we will take our time.
