River habitat
The Raquette River is one of the longest rivers running from the Adirondacks. The river is also the most dammed in the state. The river was created by the adirondack mountains and glacial recession. The river has multiple surrounding hills that give great point of view of the river. The banks of the river are constantly changing due to erosion. The high ground photo shows the winding view of the river which is quite pretty. And the plants on the edge show a savage edge coming out of winter. That in this desolate wasteland during the winter there is still life. That plus the river with the multiple small islands look quite pretty.
