Signs of Spring Instructions

Thank you for participating in our Spring Phenology Citizen Science Project!  You've already read the instructions for this project and they are simple:

  • Observe nature (in particular, observe the list of events we are choosing to monitor, available here).
  • Write down the date and location of your observations
  • Upload your data on the Spring Phenology form (Submit a new form for each observation, please).
To make things easier, you may download the attached form (see link below) to keep track of what it is you are observing!

If you've already been monitoring spring phenology over the years, your data would be immensely useful!  To share your historic data with us, you may do either of the following:
  • Photocopy your data, include the location where the observations were made (street address is fine) and mail it to Nature Up North, Biology Department, St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY
  • Scan your data, include the location where the observations were made (street address is fine) and email it to info@natureupnorth.org

Your help is vital to our ability to monitor changes in the timing of the onset of spring in region!  Please let us know if you have any questions or comments by sending an email to info@natureupnorth.org.
