Canton Canoe Weekend
This weekend there are events appropriate for the local recreational racer and teams of recreational paddlers in the relay.
And, there is top-level international level competition in solo and tandem racing canoes and kayaks. The 12 and 14- mile courses are among the most challenging on the marathon race circuit. All races are on the Grasse River, with the start and finish (except the Downriver Rushton) at Taylor Park, Canton NY.
Try-A-Tri
This is a one mile run- one mile paddle-one mile mountain bike run triathlon that starts at 1:00pm at the Madrid Community Center. The annual St. Lawrence Valley Paddlers banquet (dish to pass and place setting) and awards ceremony follows.
Teams are made up on site so come even if you don't have a team.
