North Country explorer from South Paris, Maine
There was an incredible event in the sky last night. A blood moon and total lunar eclipse. It was scheduled to start around 2 am and last until 4. Although I meandered under the night sky, I didn't see a whole lot due to the cloud cover. The west coast was seeing something like the first picture and I was seeing something like the second. But despite cloud cover, it was fun to know it was happening! This is just the first in a series of four lunar eclipse blood moons in the next year. So although the north country didn't get a good view this time, October 8th may be more promising.

P.S. These photos were not taken by me. The photo credit goes to a telescope photo lens on the west coast.
