Kids 5 - 12 years old! Become stewards of the Massena Nature Center.

Jr.Earth Keepers will participate in some simple spring clean-up activities to show environmental preservation skills, and develop an understanding of what it takes to be an environmental ambassador in their community.

Following the spring clean-up activity, kids will explore nature's shapes. First, they will review flash cards showing a variety of geometric shapes in nature (This will allow them time to identify various geometric shapes). Then, they will go on a guided hike collecting objects that represent different shapes. After returning from the hike, they will group their findings by shape and document each group of items representing various geometric shapes with digital cameras. The photos will be uploaded onto the Jr.earth Keeper Facebook page.
