FRUIT TREE SPRINGTIME CARE: PRUNING, DEVELOPMENT AND RESTORATION
A program to acquaint the novice as well as the more experienced fruit grower with tree care techniques from the ground up, from pruning and training young plants to renovating old, neglected trees. Master Gardener Don O’Shea, with decades of experience working with fruit trees, will share information on tree biology, pruning to enhance sound structural growth, fruit production and tree health, tool tips and mistakes to avoid. This class is free but pre-registration is required (important in case of changes due to bad weather). Call Don prior to the program date of April 13, 2019.
Bald (Rondaxe) Mt - Old Forge
We have been wanting to get a chance to Climb Bald Mt in Old Forge and visit the fire tower. We had perfect weather and the trail was in great shape. Plenty of views on the climb up made this a very enjoyable climb. If you are in that area or looking for a road trip- this is a good choice.
Goose Crossing Ahead
Traffic had to stop for about 30 Geese to cross the highway heading back to the St. Lawrence River.
Baby Rabbit
A baby rabbit was in hiding right next to our school. They were in the small patch of flowers between the sidewalk and the school.
